Ridley, a 2002 15H Black Hanoverian Stallion by Rotspon out of EM Wiccan (Walt Disney I/Trapper) was bred by Marefield Meadows and is owned by Chris Rush, who has been dedicated to this special stallion's breeding and performance success since purchasing him as a yearling.
Ridley's sire Rotspon was a charismatic son of the famous dressage stallion Rubenstein I. His damline includes famous broodmare sires, Argentan, Pik Bube and Wendekreis. He was the crowd favorite at the 1997 Stallion Licensing and went on to become Champion of the 1998 Stallion Performance Test with a rideability score of 9.5. Ridley was shown In-Hand as a Two-Year Old and as a Four-Year Old with a number of Grand Championships, qualifying for Dressage at Devon both years. As a Four-Year Old he finished 7th in the nation in USDF Mature Stallions. Ridley successfully competed under saddle, progressing through Grand Prix, with numerous High Score awards at every level.
Ridley has earned his performance scores for approval as a Horse stallion with OHBS and ISR-Oldenburg NA. He is also approved Weser-Ems, NASPR and has youngsters registered with RPSI. He has passed his beauty, talent and rideability to his many foals with several Premiums at inspections every year. His offspring have found success in Dressage, Hunters, Eventing, and even competitive Driving.
Ridley will be standing at Oak Shade Sporthorses at Headwaters Farm for the 2024 season. Stud Fee is $1000, fresh cooled semen.
